The ERGOS® Sapphire™ Portable Upper Extremity Testing (UET) Version is perfect for testing the upper extremity work performance abilities of any worker. The ERGOS® Sapphire™ UET provides detailed strength abilities unlike any other testing system. The UET exclusively documents several isometric strength performances not available elsewhere. Only the ERGOS® Sapphire™ UET records isometric wrist flexion and extension strength, forearm pronation and supination strength as well as functional hand grip and finger pinch strength and records performances compared to work strength as defined by either the U.S. Department of Labor, Dictionary of Occupational Titles (D.O.T.) or Human Resources and Skills Development Canada, National Occupational Classification 2006 (NOC 2006). These exclusive isometric strength performance tests are ideal for establishing criterion based pre-employment tests in industry and to document when the worker is safe to return to work after injury and recovery. Many hand therapists prefer using this system to measure patient work function progress during therapy. Additionally, the ERGOS® Sapphire™ UET also provides performance assessment in fingering and handling as defined by the D.O.T. physical demands definitions and the NOC 2006 upper limb coordination definitions.

Each of the four test components pictured here are portable and can be used if needed on location outside the clinic setting. The exclusive patent pending “smart device” technology unique to the ERGOS® Sapphire™ assessment system allows the user to use the simple plug and play features of these test components. Each test component makes use of a USB interface that is fast to set up and transport. All components are solid state reducing the need to replace components and assuring long years of service. There are no hydraulic components that can leak or that require frequent calibration. Best of all, like all ERGOS® Sapphire™ products, this test system will continue to add multiple administration languages as the need exists. This makes the ERGOS® Sapphire™ UET a product that can be used throughout the world. Reports are generated as the assessment takes place and are immediately available to the user at the completion of the assessment. Reports can be edited for use with existing reporting requirements or as stand-alone documents.
