Sim Work Samples is a new generation of work samples offered by Simwork Systems, the leader in human performance assessment tools. Beginning in 2011, Simwork Systems will be releasing the Sim Work Samples line to the general public. Below is a description of how unique and flexible these assessment tools are. A New Generation
The purpose of the new Sim Work Sample product line is to provide an easy to administer simulated work sample as defined in the Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association Glossary of Terms and Definitions that is transportable, administered using Windows™ operated computers, administered in the evaluee’s native language and able to provide an instant report for the evaluator upon test completion. Using assessment technology developed by Simwork Systems for their Sapphire Work Assessment and Quick Tester test systems, Sim Work Samples products offers these features and more. All our work samples assess the evaluee’s physical work traits, functional abilities/aptitudes defined by U.S. Department of Labor O*NET and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada N.O.C. classification as well as the corresponding cognitive performance. Each work sample details comparable U.S. and Canadian job listings. Work sample orientation and practice sessions are standardized and administered using computer generated visual/cognitive feedback. The evaluee must meet minimal performance standards before the test is administered; however, the evaluator retains control of the test administration and can override minimal test practice levels based on clinical criteria. - Multiple Language Operation- All Sim Work Samples are available in multiple languages. Users can share in the development of new languages as need dictates and can help other users expand the Sim Work Samples test language libraries. - Criterion-based Testing- All Sim Work Samples use criterion based Methods-time Methods (MTM) performance comparison for disability, culture, gender and age fair scoring.
- Economical Administration- Most Sim Work Samples operate using re-usable non-consumable components so there are few if any administration cost.
- Evaluator Input- Work Samples will be added to the Sim Work Sample product line based on user input and need.
