Portable Dynamic Lifting Strength Testing
The Sapphire™ Work Assessment System portable work assessment version provides the exact same features described in the wall mount version with one major exception. The portable version comes in a set of four carrying cases that allow the system to be easily moved from one location to another. Each case provides a protective environment for the test components. One major addition to the portable version is the exclusive door hanger hardware that makes the Sapphire™ unique in work function testing. The exclusive patent pending door hanger enables the user to connect the system monopole and shuttle to any door that can be closed to form a solid framework for mounting the system. It also was designed to use little floor space. It requires only a 3 foot by 4 foot area to operate. Any portable touch screen tablet computer can be used to operate the system programs and all components connect and operate through the USB port. After the door hanger is attached to the door, the monopole is connected and the system operates the same as the wall mount version. The Sapphire™ is transported in rugged wheeled carrying cases that easily fit into a car. Set up time is less than 30 minutes. Because each test component operates independently, you only bring the required tests required to assess the evaluee. Upper extremity test components can be administered at any convenient table using the portable touch screen computer.
Like the wall mount version, the Sapphire™ for the first time features a direct left/right comparison of the evaluee’s upper extremity performance on each of the postural tests (stooping, kneeling, crouching, forward reach, overhead reach, and standing). Coefficient of Variation (CV) calculations are available on all isometric reports, and velocity of movement consistency and averages are reported on all dynamic lift reports. All reports can be presented in either English or Metric measurement units. All work performance data can be presented in either U.S. Department of Labor of Canadian NOC definition format. All test information can be inserted into common report writers such as Microsoft Word, WordPerfect or Open Office Writer using simple cut and paste editing.
