  Simwork Systems is pleased to announce the release of the Sapphire™ Quick Tester upper extremity assessment component system. This new upper extremity testing tool uses the patent pending tools developed for the Sapphire™ Work Assessment System. This exciting package allows the user to operate any or all of the Sapphire™ isometric, pinch, grip and pro-flex strength assessment devices from their own computer. The initial Quick Tester release supports the Sapphire™ pinch device that measures the evaluee’s isometric functional finger pinch strength. The Quick Tester software allows test customization and can compare the evaluee’s performance to U.S. Department of Labor Dictionary of Occupational Titles (DOT) or the Canadian National Occupational Classification (NOC) physical demands strength definitions. The system’s flexibility provides the potential for various applications including therapy tracking, pre-employment assessment, work therapy and strengthening exercises. Additional Quick Tester releases are scheduled throughout 2009 and include the isometric grip strength next. Later in the year the unique combination pro-flex device will be introduced. The pro-flex device measures isometric wrist flexion and extension as well as forearm pronation and supination strength.
